Roanoke Chowan : Scholarships 2013-2014 Program - Will have to be enrolled right through the 2012-2013 educational year at a NC

Public/Private Highschool or a NC group college.

Ø  Should be a NC resident with  an enduring residence in one among

the seventy eight qualifying rural counties.

Ø  Must join as a whole-time, stage-in search of scholar at a qualifying

Roanoke Chowan : Scholarships 2013-2014 Program

UNC establishment, or a NC personal non-profit faculty or college in Fall 2013.

Ø  Must post a 2013-2014 FAFSA by means of closing date said below.

Ø  Should provide a pleasant record of academic success and neighborhood service.

Ø  Deadline:  March 1, 2013
  Herter-O’Neal Scholarship
  •  Must be a legal resident of North Carolina.
  • Must be pursuing an Associates degree in a business or a business-related field of study.
  • Deadline:  March 11, 2013
 Forgivable Education Loans for Service
  • Must be a permanent resident of NC.
  • Must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours or accepted for enrollment in the Nursing program.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Must register with the Selective Service System, if required.
  • Must not be in default, owe a refund, under any Federal or State loan or grant program.
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Must be willing or agree to work in North Carolina in the nursing profession.

State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) Scholarship
Ø  Applicant and/or parent or guardian must be a member of SEANC.
Ø  Must be enrolled full-time for the 2012-2013 school year.
Ø  Must qualify based on financial need, merit, or membership status.
Ø  Deadline:   April 5, 2013

The Internet Initiative Scholarship
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be enrolled during the 2012-2013 academic year as a full-time student.
  • Must be in good standing.
  • Must write a 500 to 1000-word essay answering the questions: What do you plan to do after college? How would you use the internet to help excel in your occupation?

SECU Foundation Two-Year Scholarship Program
Ø  Must be a full-time student.
Ø  Must be a U.S. citizen and resident of NC, and is eligible for in-state tuition
Ø  Must exemplify the membership philosophy of credit union’s “People Helping People” and have demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement.
Ø  Must demonstrate scholastic achievement and maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA.
Ø  Deadline:  July 29, 2013
