Oklahoma State University : 2013-2014 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONSCurrent/Continuing undergraduate scholars enrolled within the Faculty of Human Sciences (Human Sciences) are eligible to compete for 2013-2014 academic 12 months scholarships at both the College and Departmental/School levels. Scholarship recipients should be enrolled as a full time pupil (12 hours or extra; seniors enrolled in nine hours or extra of their graduating semester are considered complete time) throughout the period of the scholarship award. To use for all available Human Sciences undergraduate scholarships, present/continuing OSU undergraduate students should complete and submit the Human Sciences On-Line Undergraduate Scholarship Application by means of December 17, 2012, at four:30 pm. Incoming transfer scholars who have already officially declared a tremendous in Human Sciences and feature already enrolled in classes for spring 2013, would possibly practice for these scholarships

Scholarship Information for New/Incoming Students Enrolling in Fall 2013
  • If you will be a new incoming freshman or new incoming transfer student in fall 2013, do NOT complete the above form.
  • To qualify for scholarships you must submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission/Scholarship 2013-14 form available at http://admissions.okstate.edu.
  • For fall 2013 incoming students, the deadline for priority consideration for scholarships is February 1, 2013.

GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS:

The College of Human Sciences is now accepting Graduate Student applications for scholarships and fellowships for the 2013-2014 academic year. Scholarship recipients must be majoring in a Human Sciences graduate degree program and enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours during each semester of the scholarship. At the master’s level a scholarship can be awarded for no more than two years, while at the doctoral level a scholarship can be awarded for no more than three years.
To apply for college and department scholarships, please follow these instructions:

1) Review the available scholarships for Human Sciences graduate students. Criteria vary for each scholarship and typically include scholastic record (GPA), college and university leadership activities, professional goals, etc.

2) Select three individuals to complete a Human Sciences Graduate Scholarship & Fellowship “Applicant Recommendation Form” to evaluate your abilities and academic performance.

  • Select references who have knowledge of your educational qualifications, experience, ability to complete advanced study, and professional contributions. If employed, one reference should be from your employer. Recent contact with these persons is important.
  • Completed applicant recommendation forms must be received by Monday, December 17, 2012.




4) Submit the following documents in addition to the application form: 

  • Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work (need not be official, but must be complete)
  • 2-3 page “Statement of Educational Background and Professional Goals.” In this statement the applicant should be sure to include/ describe a) your interests/ focus area for your graduate study; b) your academic achievements and leadership experiences; note if you have made a presentation at a professional conference; c) your planned thesis or dissertation research; if your advisory committee has approved your thesis/ dissertation proposal, please indicate; d) if your teaching or research has an international application, please explain; e) your professional goals and plans once you have completed your graduate degree; and f) your financial need.
